Wild Brunch & Foraging Youth Program

Join Carp Ridge Learning Centre and R.I.S.E. Academy from February to November 2025 for a unique opportunity where five youth will gain entrepreneurial skills, earn high school credits, and culminate their journey with a Fall 2025 Wild Brunch event.

Program Components
Foraging Sessions with Dr. Katherine Willow, N.D.
– Weekly 1.5-hour sessions at Carp Ridge Learning Centre
– Learn foraging skills, local ecology, and sustainable practices
– R.I.S.E. Academy staff support to assist in food preparation and student engagement
Wild Brunch Event Planning and Execution
– Weekly virtual planning sessions with R.I.S.E. Academy staff
– Learn event planning, marketing strategies, sponsorship, and ticket sales
– Develop teamwork, project management, and leadership skills
Product Development for Carp Farmers Market
– Receive guidance to develop, produce, and sell a product at the Carp Farmers Market
– Gain experience in entrepreneurship, budgeting, and sales
