R.I.S.E. Scholarship Funds

R.I.S.E. Academy is pleased to launch our scholarship program in three different areas.

R.I.S.E. BIPOC Scholarship

R.I.S.E. Academy will be offering scholarships to Youth who are Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color an opportunity to connect with their community.  Scholarships are provided by the generous donations from community partners and the number of scholarships will be determined by donations. 

R.I.S.E. Opportunity Scholarship

R.I.S.E. Academy will be offering scholarships to Youth who require financial assistance an opportunity to connect with their community.  Scholarships are provided by generous donations from community partners and the number of scholarships will be determined by donations.

R.I.S.E. Community Scholarship

R.I.S.E. Academy will be offering scholarships to Youth who exemplify commitment to their community.  Scholarships are provided by the generous donations from community partners and the number of scholarships will be determined by donations. 

Criteria for all scholarships

  • Motivated and willing to work outside of your regular school timetable.
  • Keen interest in working with and making a difference in your community.
  • Must be nominated by a respected member of the community (Teacher, Religious Leader, Community Leader – cannot be a parent or family member).

Youth must be nominated by a member of the community.  Youth can be nominated using this form.

The reference letter / nomination can be a written letter, video or audio file.  Please answer the following questions.

Who are you nominating?

What is your role in the community?

How do you know them and for how long?

Why do you believe they deserve this scholarship, how would this opportunity benefit them?

Anything else we should know about this applicant?

How can we contact you if needed?

Youth must fill out an application that includes a personal statement.

How will you commit to seeing this 10 week course through?
