Sponsorship

R.I.S.E. Academy is committed to providing opportunities to youth across Ontario, no matter their socio-economic background.

Youth who attend programs at R.I.S.E. acquire skills and experiences that help them learn who they are as a person, find out what their passions are, build their confidence and challenge them to take risks.  Many youth have received scholarships, found jobs, and networked with people in all kinds of interesting areas of the world of work as a result of the work done in the Social Change Maker Program.

Hear from former students below and what this program has done for them.

Transforming Lives, One Student At A Time!

“I believe I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I hadn’t been taught by Rebecca; she has shaped me into a mature young adult. I am now not afraid to take charge, not afraid to ask for help, not afraid to fail, but most importantly she has taught me that following what you love is the most important thing.” – HF

“Rebecca’s teaching methods helped develop me into the hard-working, passionate student that I am today. The unique structure and set up of the classes allowed me to go off and branch out to figure out how I learn best, this has helped me in so many different aspects of my life. For instance, I’ve had my university professors be completely in awe of the fact I can successfully conduct inquiry-based learning. I feel as if I can think and problem solve on a deeper level whether it be in or outside of the classroom.” – RM

“I had an interview with Harvard this year and they were most impressed by many of the things that I accomplished through your class! Although I didn’t get in, I felt great about how it went. I just recently accepted a $180,000 scholarship offer to St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY for academics and to be on the ski team. That couldn’t have happened without you, so thank you.” – KV

“In Rebecca’s classroom I learned to learn for myself. Our time was spent doing independent learning that allowed me to look at tons of subjects that interested me–from artificial intelligence and coding to philosophy and literature. The day-to-day aspect of class is highly individualized, but her role as educator provides students with the necessary guidance and motivation to push through obstacles. Her teachings have allowed me to find passion in the community around me and share that passion with others. Because of all that, I figured out what I wanted to study in post-secondary, and I’m excited for every step of the journey to come.” – CL

Can We Count On You?

We are reaching out to the community to ask for your help in providing opportunities to all students.  R.I.S.E. is excited to partner with organizations such as The Door Youth Centre, The Haven, Osgoode Youth Association and Parkdale Food Centre to support youth in financial need.  We are looking for donors to sponsor amazing youth who could use a little help to get ahead by taking a course through R.I.S.E.

If you are interested in more information or nominating a youth in need please contact us at info@riseacademy.ca
